FRENCH PRINCESS GIRL’S BEDROOM

November 12, 2018
Bonjour and Welcome to Meikasa
My Daughter’s Kara-Love charming personality inspired me to create a room that’s dainty and glamorous. Every little girl deserves a bed fit for a princess. Immediately after finding this bed at RoomsToGo I knew it was the perfect statement piece for her room. The original color of the bed wasn’t exactly what I envisioned but I didn’t let that stop me. I easily refinished the frame in a metallic gold which made this bed even more dreamy.

My love for vintage French Provincial furniture runs deep so I knew I wanted to incorporate classic French pieces to her room. I started with this darling dresser that I was lucky to find at our local Goodwill store and I painted it ‘Coral Gables’ by Benjamin Moore. Along with that the baroque frame that was in impeccable shape that I transformed into a bow holder.

To complete the overall majestic feel in this space I chose a grand chandelier that was also a lucky thrifted item and refinished in metallic gold.

This seating area was designed with tea parties in mind! I incorporated this French linen
painted side table paired with ottomans and this is where my little girls dreams come true.

To make this space even more magical , I added a blush Christmas tree and all the trimmings for
the holiday season. She loves decorating the tree with her favorite ornaments and twinkle
lights.

Pretty Peonies Girl's Bedroom

September 10, 2018
Welcome to peony heaven!
I went with an unconventional colour for my third daughters bedroom. It's called Misty by Sherwin Williams. It's a soft blue/grey yet it still exudes a feminine feel.
The focal wall was missing something and these lovely, delicate peony wall decals from Rocky Mountain Decals were the perfect touch! I love the fact that they're removable & reusable!

The headboard was another lucky Homesense find. I loved the shape and the tufting.  The butterfly duvet cover is fresh yet whimsical.  All the pillows are from Homesense except the silver bow – its from Hobby Lobby.

This room is not as big so using a mirrored nightstand gives the illusion of a grand space.

I thought it was important to bring the element of fairytales into their closets/dressing rooms. I used pink sparkly knobs to dress up the
